Tickets still available for Habitat for Humanity of Craven County’s Nov. 7 fundraiser

Tickets for Habitat for Humanity of Craven County’s upcoming “Hammer it Home . . . on the Range” fundraiser are still available to purchase for individuals or businesses interested in helping to transform lives and create safe living environments for local families.

This year’s Western-themed “Hammer it Home . . . on the Range” event will be held on Friday, Nov. 7, at the Pavilion in Carolina Colours from 6-9 p.m. Tickets are $80 and can be purchased at www.cravencountyhabitat.org/, or in New Bern at Mitchell Hardware, 215 Craven St., or at the Habitat ReStore, 930 Pollock St.

In addition to ticket sales, a key component to the success of the annual fundraiser is the contributions of local sponsors, both individuals and businesses. The main participating sponsors for this year’s event:

“Hammer it Home . . . on the Range,” will feature two main highlights: a Reverse Drawing, where the winning ticket will receive $5,000, and a Chair-ity Live Auction, showcasing 11 hand-painted chairs created by local artists. Additionally, Terrianne Maltese will be featured as the fundraiser’s plein aire artist and will complete her chair on location during the event. Sally Sutton will be included in the "Hammer it Home . . . on the Range” Silent Auction as this year’s commissioned artist.

Participants will be treated to heavy hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar, giveaways, and line dancing. Like HFHCC’s construction sites, the line dancing will be fun, instructed and open to all experience levels.
