MY SISTER’S HOUSE CELEBRATES 3RD ANNIVERSARY

Tried By Fire, Inc. is pleased to invite the community to celebrate our 3rd Anniversary of My Sister’s House opening as a safe and supportive transitional home for justice- involved women. This special event, graciously hosted by the Greenbrier Home & Garden Club, is scheduled for Friday October 23, 2026, from 4pm to 6pm at 524 Roundtree Street New Bern NC.

“This event is one of our quarterly ‘Meet & Greet’ opportunities to thank the donors and volunteers whose assistance and encouragement sustain My Sister’s House. We also invite the wider community to join us in celebrating three years of operation and the support that has made them possible,” said Bonita Simmons, founder and CEO of Tried by Fire, Inc. “We believe in being our sister’s keeper by providing women with shelter, compassion, resources, and a nonjudgmental environment as they rebuild their lives.
Our mission succeeds because of the collaboration and generosity of this community,” she explained.

All our welcome to attend a brief program of speakers, including some of our current residents at My Sister’s House as well as former residents who have moved on to more new opportunities. We will also provide an update on the impressive programs, services, outcomes, and impact during our last fiscal year of 2025 over the 980 number of nights of safe housing provided for our justice-involved residents. For planning purposes, your RSVP to attend is requested by Friday, October 16 by calling 252-637-2339, or by email to info@triedfyfireinc.org.
