Mural Community Paint Day

March 12, 2026

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Mural Community Paint Day
Join Craven Arts in our newest public art project

335 Middle St & Broad St

10am-4pm, April 25, 2026

Craven Arts Council & Gallery invites the community to join us in painting our newest murals on April 25th, from 10am to 4pm. These two new murals will be on the Broad Street side of the Chelsea Restaurant and the back porch of the Flying Fox, both located within easy distance of each other on Broad Street.

Painting will take place from 10am to 4pm. Members of the community are invited to participate in the painting of the mural, which will be outlined ahead of time, creating a large-scale paint
by numbers. Participation is free, but all participants will need to complete a wavier on site. Craven Arts Council & Gallery will provide paint, brushes, and other supplies for the project. With the success of previous Art in Public Places programs, Craven Arts Council has organized to paint two murals for this event: one on the Broad Street side of the Chelsea, and one on the back porch of the Flying Fox, giving participants and sponsors two opportunities to be a part of the creative process.

Craven Arts Council & Gallery is currently seeking sponsorships for this project. Sponsorships start at $50, and will be made through Craven Arts Council’s Art in Public Places program, which seeks to enhance the cultural vibrancy of our community through community based public art, and are tax deductible. Find out more at www.cravenarts.org

Craven Arts Council and Gallery is open 10am-5pm Tuesday through Saturday, and admission to all galleries is free and open to the public.
