LAST CHANCE FOR ST. LUCIA GET-AWAY FUNDRAISER FOR ATEG

There are only a few days left before the drawing of a Caribbean Get-Away on the beautiful island of St. Lucia. The drawing for this special fundraiser for Arts To End Genocide (ATEG), is scheduled for Friday, July 25. Tickets are $20 and are available from Board members, online at www.artstoendgenocide.org

“The Balenbouche Estate in St. Lucia has generously offered a seven-night stay for one winner and a guest at their beautiful plantation for this raffle to support ATEG’s programs in Bamako, Mali, West Africa,” said Mitch Lewis, the founder of this New Bern based non-profit. “We started selling tickets during our second Global Citizenship Music Festival in May at Union Point Park, and they have been selling well as folks learn about this affordable opportunity to win a get-away trip,” Lewis explained.

The historical Balenbouche Estate is a family home, retreat venue, and organic farm in St. Lucia within a 70-acre nature heritage site adjoining two secluded beaches. Six charming cottages are available for guests to enjoy being close to nature while being cooled by tropical breezes. The winner will be responsible for airfare and ground transportation.

“The Board decided to hold the drawing on July 25 because it’s Mitch’s Birthday, so we have a chance to make it part of the celebration for all he has done since founding ATEG twelve years ago. 100% of all money raised goes directly to the programs now serving the women and children in the IDP camps with skills training, health care, rice distribution, and an education program for eligible students, in Mali, West Africa” said Deedra Durocher, a member of the ATEG Board of Directors.
