Hear from USCT Historian Jerilyn Lee at Orringer Auditorium

Did you know that approximately 198,000 men served in the United States Colored Troops during the Civil War? And another 20,000 served in the U.S. Navy? And did you know that six of those regiments came from North Carolina?

Come and hear their stories as the New Bern Historical Society hosts USCT historian Jerilyn Lee on Sunday November 3 at 2pm at Orringer Auditorium on the Craven Community College New Bern campus. She will share over 100 pictures of USCT soldiers, NCO’s, officers, cavalrymen and U.S. sailors who served during the Civil War. Reservations open September 30 and are available at www.NewBernHistorical.org or by calling 252-638-8558. Be sure to learn this part of our American History!
