Director’s Gallery – New Bern – Beyond the Ordinary

Craven Arts Council & Gallery is proud to host a group exhibition featuring artists from Laceleaf Studios for the month of August. On display in the Director’s Gallery, New Bern – Beyond the Ordinary will feature diverse paintings thematically focusing on ordinary findings in the city of New Bern. An open reception for this exhibition will be held at Artwalk on August 14th from 5 – 8pm at Bank of the Arts, inviting the public to meet the artists, view the full display, and more.

New Bern – Beyond the Ordinary will feature artworks from six Laceleaf Studio & Company artists - Brenda Gear, Jill Eberle, Donna Slade, Catherine Thorton, Vicki Vitale, and Martha Wiliiams. Showcasing each artists’ individual medium and style, this exhibition of paintings will showcase artists interpretations of ordinary observations across the city. Through consciously directing the mind to be aware and attentive to the present moment this exhibition will teach viewers to savoring the beauty around you and connect the community to one another.
