Craven Arts Council & Gallery is proud to present a Cyanotype Workshop as part of their Craven’s Crafts Program. This workshop will be held on Saturday, August 23rd, with two sessions beginning at 11 am and 1 pm. Tickets are $10 for members and $15 for nonmembers of Craven Arts and will be available at cravenarts.org this August.
Cyanotype is a contact print made by placing an object on UV sensitive paper with exposure to sunlight. Cyanotype is an early photographic printing process, most known for the origins of “blueprints”. All materials will be provided for this workshop, including flowers, plants, paper, gloves, and other materials. All participants are required to sign a waiver before engaging in activities, and products made are available to take home.
Beginning in fall of 2024, Craven’s Crafts serves created as a bi-monthly workshop offering tutorials on simple crafts. Adding on to the variety of programming available, Craven’s Crafts promotes local involvement and interest in the arts for all ages. Sessions are either taught or supervised by Craven Arts Staff, and include all materials are provided in ticket price. All participants are required to sign a waiver before engaging in each activity. The Craven Arts Council & Gallery is free and open to the public Tuesday through Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm.
