CAROLINAEAST FOUNDATION GRANTS $325,661 TO LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS
(New Bern, NC) – On March 11, 2026, the CarolinaEast Foundation hosted a check-passing event to present thirty-one local organizations with grant money to support their health-related causes. Each cycle, organizations can apply for grant money from the CarolinaEast Foundation that has been donated through the annual Employee Campaign, as well as many community businesses and individual donors. While providing great care every day to patients, CarolinaEast staff found it in their hearts to donate to a cause that directly helps local patients and community members.

  • Catholic Charities/New Bern Region – Senior Pharmacy Program
  • Coastal Center for Hope & Healing – Holistic Healing & Wellness Program for Survivors
  • Craven Literacy Council – Empowering Lives through Literacy
  • The EPIC Center – Parenting Education Program
  • The Filling Station – Bridging Food and Meds
  • Florence & Whortonsville Volunteer Fire Department – LifePak 15
  • Hope Clinic – Recovery Care Connections
  • Interfaith Refugee Ministry – Refugee Health and Telehealth Literacy Program
  • Loaves and Fishes of Beaufort – Scholarship Beds
  • Mile of Hope – Mile of Hope Weekend
  • The MirIAM – Women’s Addiction Recovery Services

  • Onslow Caring Community Clinic – Maternal Access and Early Pregnancy Support

The CarolinaEast Foundation now offers one grant cycle per year. Organizations can make a request each year for a health care initiative and must submit a Letter of Intent before completing a full grant proposal.
