Local nonprofit seeking artwork for thank you cards and merchandise

MERCI Clinic and Craven Arts Council & Gallery are proud to announce a new call for art, Expressions of MERCI. This call for art seeks works inspired by the mission and activities of MERCI Clinic, a local nonprofit offering free healthcare to those in need in our community. Up to four artworks will be selected with artists receiving stipends for the rights to their works. The deadline to submit is April 1, 2026.
Celebrating MERCI Clinic’s thirty years of service, Expressions of MERCI seeks unique, local artwork to feature on thank you cards, tote bags, and other print and digital media. This call for art is open to artists 18 or older, residing in eastern North Carolina, working in any style, medium or theme. Artists will submit high resolution images of their works through Craven Arts Council’s website at www.cravenarts.org/merci. Artists may also view the full rules, and an Inspiration document about MERCI Clinic on the website. Artists will receive one of four stipends for the rights to the work, as well as an exhibition opportunity at the Clinic.
MERCI Clinic is a 501c3 organization that offers free, compassionate healthcare to individuals with limited means who reside in New Bern, Craven County and the surrounding eastern North Carolina. Services include primary care, specialty care, dental care, pharmacy and lab services, referrals and patient access coordination, free of charge to the patient.
In support of our local nonprofits, and our efforts to connect local artists with unique opportunities, this Call for Art is being operated by Craven Arts Council & Gallery, the local arts agency for Craven County. Craven Arts Council and Gallery is a 501c3 organization who mission is to promote the arts and culture within our region.
