'CALENDAR GIRLS' at NBCT: Jan 31-Feb 9, 2025

"Calendar Girls' will open New Bern Civic Theatre's Season 2025. A Yorkshire women’s club decides to take an unconventional route with their coming year’s fundraising calendar – rather than their typical photos of spectacular views of local landscapes or churches, it’s going to be photos of spectacular views of their own members wearing next to nothing! Their reasoning for the risqué move is honorable but it takes much convincing and plenty of liquid courage to capture each calendar girl pose month-by-month. The very funny comedy/drama based on the hit 2003 film of the same title, runs weekends January 31 through February 9, 2025 at New Bern Civic Theatre.

Laughs fly as Chris (Emma Jeter) encourages Annie (Lisa Coltrain) and her friends to step out of their comfort zone. Also baring all for the camera are Britney Taylor as Cora, Ginny Dorrington as Jessie, Lauren Taylor as Ruth, and Lee Chaix McDonough as Celia. But, as the calendar goes viral decisions and friendships get put to the test.

The play is directed by Michael Tahaney who has assembled a remarkable cast that also features; Celeste McAllister, Kate Tuttle, Michael Stenger, Loki Freeze, David Griffith, Christina Tolisano, and Haleigh Gill.
