NEW BERN, N.C., August, 31, 2026 – ThriveMore is excited to announce a significant milestone in the development of Brice Pointe, the organization's new Life Plan Community planned for New Bern, North Carolina. The ThriveMore Board of Trustees has approved the project to move into the next phase of design and development, while the North Carolina Department of Insurance has authorized Brice Pointe to advance to the next stage of the reservation process.
The approval allows Priority List members to begin reserving their future residences by making a 10% deposit. This is a major step that reflects continued confidence in the project and brings Brice Pointe closer to becoming New Bern's first Life Plan Community.

Brice Pointe is designed to meet the growing demand for senior living in Eastern North Carolina while allowing older adults to remain close to the family, friends, churches, and community connections that matter most. Situated on a scenic 70-acre campus overlooking Carolina Lake, the community will combine the beauty of coastal North Carolina with the security and peace of mind of a Life Plan Community.
Upon completion, Brice Pointe will include:
- 152 independent living apartments
- 52 villas and cottages
- 18 healthcare apartments (Assisted living, memory care, and long-term nursing care)
- Walking trails and outdoor gathering spaces
- Access to nearby golf, pickleball, tennis, and other Carolina Colours amenities
- Wellness, educational, social, and lifelong learning opportunities
As New Bern's first Life Plan Community, Brice Pointe will provide residents with the opportunity to enjoy maintenance-free living while knowing additional levels of care are available on the same campus should their needs change over time.
In addition to serving future residents, Brice Pointe is expected to have a lasting impact on the region by creating new jobs, supporting the local economy, and expanding senior living choices throughout Eastern North Carolina.

The project is now entering the conversion phase, allowing eligible Priority List members who previously submitted “Expressions of Interest” to reserve their preferred residence with a 10% deposit. During this phase, ThriveMore will continue refining the community's design, completing development planning, and preparing for future construction.
Brice Pointe remains on schedule for an anticipated 2030 opening, with additional project milestones and construction updates to be announced as development progresses.
