The North Carolina Film Festival, North Carolina’s premier celebration of independent cinema, is now officially accepting submissions for its 2025 season. Filmmakers from across the state, nation, and globe are invited to submit their short films (40 minutes or less) for consideration in what promises to be the most dynamic year yet.
The 2025 festival, taking place at New Bern Civic Theatre on August 2nd, showcases a diverse range of storytelling—from bold features and compelling documentaries to cutting-edge shorts, student work, and experimental films.
