3R's Fest 2026 Scheduled for Resources, Reentry & Recovery

Tried by Fire Inc., in partnership with Craven Community College, Trillium Health Resources, Craven-Pamlico Re-Entry Council, and Trauma Wellness Center are pleased to present a special free program to the community - The 3R’s (Resources, Reentry & Recovery) Fest 2026.
 
The 3R’s Fest will meet on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at Craven Community College, 800 College Court in New Bern. Breakfast will be provided at 9:00 am.
 
“This program is all about sharing information, as well as celebrating the determination needed for life-changing success. The 3R’s Fest 2026 is focused on the importance of Resources, Reentry, and Recovery,” said Bonita Simmons, founder and CEO of Tried By Fire, Inc. “This program will include a powerful interactive session on a range of topics related to reentry issues, recidivism, addiction, recovery strategies and techniques, relapse prevention, coping skills, and the existing resources for these concerns that are available in the community,” she explained.
 
As an added feature of this unique event, special musical performances will be offered by Pastor Wes Morgan and Bonita Burney Simmons.
