At the Gallery Concert Series: Kander and Ebb performed by Tyler Griffin

Craven Arts Council & Gallery (CAC&G) is proud to present their At the Gallery Concert Series featuring the music of American musical duo Kander and Ebb performed by Tyler Griffin. Doors open at 6 pm, with a pre-concert talk at 6:30 pm given by Lee Purcell. This concert is sponsored by Jim and Marie Vecchio. Tickets are $25 for members of Craven Arts Council & Gallery, and $30 for nonmembers. Tickets can be purchased by visiting Bank of the Arts, at cravenarts.org, or over the phone at 252-638-2577. Season tickets are now available for the concert season, running from September to May.

Famously known as Kander and Ebb, composer John Kander and lyrist Fred Ebb were a highly successfully 20th century American songwriting team. Known primarily for their hit stage musicals, including Cabaret and Chicago, Kander and Ebb also wrote “New York, New York”, a signature anthem for Frank Sinatra. The two worked closest with stars Liza Minnelli and Chita Rivera. The duo wrote 20 musicals together, and in 1998 were recognized for their contributions to theatre and music with Kennedy Center Honors, alongside winning awards for their multi-medium productions in television and film, including Emmy’s, Grammy’s, Oscars, Tony’s, and more.

Tyler Griffin is a world traveling pianist & vocalist, performing multi-genre piano rock favorites! From Jimmy Buffet to The Eagles; Elton John to Billy Joel; Ben Folds to Broadway and more, Tyler provides his audiences an evening of lively entertainment with his warm energetic style of music. No matter what style of music you are looking for, Tyler Griffin is familiar with a variety of genres and prides himself in showcasing each song.
