The New Bern Civic Theatre is thrilled to announce the appointment of Bradley Moore as our new Executive Director!
Bradley brings with him an impressive and dynamic background in both theatre and the music industry. With roots in Maryland and an adventurous decade spent touring globally with music legends like LeAnn Rimes and India Arie, Bradley’s journey has been anything but ordinary. His return to the world of theatre has led to award-winning productions, the founding of Music City Theatre Company in Nashville, and acclaimed directing work across the East Coast. A talented director, playwright, and performer, Bradley's passion for storytelling is matched only by his commitment to building strong, inclusive, and creative communities.
As we look ahead to Bradley's appointment to NBCT, there's much to be energized about. He will play a key role in helping select the 2026 Season and Encore performances, as well as continued construction and renovation projects at the Athens and Studio theatre. The stage is quite literally being set for a new era of bold, vibrant, and engaging live performances.
We would also like to express our deepest gratitude to Michael Tahaney, who has led NBCT with heart, vision, and a deep love for the arts. Under Michael’s direction, we’ve seen major strides in both our programming and infrastructure, and his leadership has been pivotal in positioning NBCT for future success. Thank you, Michael, for all you’ve done to elevate our theatre and our community!
With Bradley now at the helm, NBCT is entering a fresh chapter full of possibility. We remain committed to community building, theatre education, and making our theatre a hub for the performing arts in New Bern and beyond.
Please join us in welcoming Bradley to our NBCT family — and get ready for an unforgettable season ahead!
