Position: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Nights, Weekends, Part-Time, Per-Diem
Salary: $15 - $16 hourly
Position Overview: Seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant that is responsible for providing direct care to our guests, assisting with activities of daily living, and supporting the team in maintaining our guests' overall well-being during their final days. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for end-of-life caregiving.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility as needed
- Support guests with eating, hydration, and nutritional needs
- Help guests maintain personal hygiene and overall comfort care
- Observe and report changes in physical or mental condition to the operations team
- Assist with medication and basic healthcare tasks in collaboration with hospice
- Foster meaningful relationships with our guests through companionship and supportive care.
- Encourage participation in activities and programs to promote social interaction and mental well-being.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment
- Follow infection control protocols and safety procedures in compliance with policy
- Respond promptly to emergency situations when needed
Education:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare, or long-term care setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Compassionate, patient, and attentive to guest needs
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of nursing care procedures and safety practices
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
- Ability to assist guest with mobility and physical support as needed
- Active CNA certification in good standing in NC State
- Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening
