Call For Art: For the Record

Craven Arts Council & Gallery (CAC&G) is seeking art submissions using vinyl records for their March 2026 Main Gallery exhibition, For the Record. Artists will receive up to 20 vinyl records to use for their piece as part of their entry fee, at their Vinyl Pick Up Event, December 9 – 13th, 10 am – 5 pm, Bank of the Arts. This exhibition is open to all artists in all mediums and styles, pre-registration is required at cravenarts.org. The deadline to register for For the Record is December 13, 2025 at 5 pm.

With an extensive collection of over 1000 records, CAC&G invites artists to come select 20 records to use for their submission(s). Artists are strongly encouraged to use records from the CACG collection rather than providing their own. Artists do not have to use all of the records in their work(s). CAC&G encourages the creative use of the materials: paint on the vinyl as a canvas, cut them out, create a collage with the sleeve artwork, made a sculpture, etc. Artworks featured in exhibition will be judged for prizes by Dare Oliver.
