DESCRIPTION:We cordially invite you to attend a Ribbon Cutting to celebrate the new location of Tidewater Appliance & Mattress\n\n\n\nTidewater Appliance & Mattress was opened in February 2010 by Bobby and Dana Stone. Dana had previously worked the last 17 years in appliance sales for The Appliance Shoppe and Tideland Appliance and had a love for the industry. When Tideland Appliance closed their doors in December 2009\, Dana knew there was still a need for a local appliance store with superior customer service in the New Bern area so Tidewater Appliance was born. The store started out on Hwy 70 East in James City but has now just recently moved to their new\, larger location at 4140 Dr. MLK Jr. Blvd\, New Bern.\n\nThe new store boasts a live kitchen where customers can see induction cooktops\, steam ovens\, convection ovens and a built in coffee maker at work. Tidewater Appliance & Mattress carries major appliances by GE\, Monogram\, Bosch\, Thermador\, Whirlpool\, KitchenAid\, Maytag\, Speed Queen\, XO and Amana and mattresses by Sealy.  They will soon be adding XO outdoor grills and equipment to the lineup. The new location still has the same great staff of knowledgeable sales consultants and trained delivery technicians.\n\nDana was born & raised in New Bern\, Bobby grew up in Havelock\, the son of a Marine\, and now they live in Trent Woods with their youngest daughter. They have two older children\, a son who lives in Charlotte and another daughter who lives in New Bern with her family. Bobby and Dana are members of the Chamber of Commerce\, Pamlico County Chamber of Commerce\, New Bern Home Builders Association\, Nationwide Marketing Group (a buying group for independent appliance retailers where Dana serves on the Advisory Board) and the NFIB. They work hard to give back to the community with their involvement with RCS\, the YMCA\, St Paul Catholic School\, My Sister's House\, Promise Place and more.
