SUMMARY:Positive Thinking Through Lyrics with Becca\, music therapist
DESCRIPTION:Music with Becca is a gentle\, creative space to explore healing through sound and rhythm. This workshop is designed for adults. Each date is a separate experience:\n\n\n	October 29 7 PM: Positive Thinking Lyrics\n\n\nPositive Thinking Through Lyrics with Becca\n\nHave you ever noticed how a song can completely change your mood or how certain lyrics seem to speak directly to what you're going through?\n\nJoin Becca for a meaningful and interactive music workshop exploring the power of positive thinking through song lyrics. Together\, we'll listen\, reflect\, discuss\, and discover how the words we take in can influence our thoughts\, emotions\, and outlook.\n\nThis isn't about forcing positivity or ignoring life's difficult moments. It's about finding encouraging messages\, new perspectives\, and reminders of hope within music.\n\nCome ready to listen\, share\, reflect\, and maybe discover a few new songs to add to your personal playlist for the journey.\n\nMusic has a way of reaching places words alone sometimes can't.\n\n\n	next workshop with Becca: December 4 6:30 PM: Holiday Sing Along\n\n\nEach workshop with Becca\, music therapist\, is more than making music together it's a hands-on way to experience the principles behind ENGAGE and Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB).\n\n\n	Supports brain-body connection Rhythm engages the brain\, body\, movement\, attention\, and sensory systems at the same time.\n	Connection happens through co-regulation Making music together requires us to listen\, respond\, adjust\, and find a shared rhythm. These shared experiences can help us feel connected and regulated with others.\n	Rhythm creates a shared experience We don't have to know each other well or be musicians. We can connect through something as simple as a beat.\n	Creates a safe space for expression Music can provide a way to express and experience emotions without having to find the "right" words.\n	Builds new experiences ENGAGE is about creating meaningful\, positive experiences that support connection\, curiosity\, and growth.\n	Engages the whole person Body\, mind\, emotions\, relationships\, creativity\, and even a sense of belonging can all be part of the experience.\n	This is what "Healing Happens in Community" looks like We aren't doing this alone. We learn\, experience\, laugh\, create\, and grow alongside one another.\n	And the best part? You don't have to be a musician! There is no perfect rhythm and no musical experience required. Just come as you are and ENGAGE.\n\n\nThis is ENGAGE: meaningful experiences + safe connection + whole-person engagement = opportunities for healing and growth. \n\n \n\nDuring each workshop\, you'll sample our ENGAGE Community Program and connect with others in a supportive\, trauma-informed setting. And with each ticket purchase\, you get a one month trial of ENGAGE - that's right - you can experience ALL workshops all month long\, with no extra cost! Why? Because we believe the healing power of ENGAGE workshops is something you need to experience. \n\n \n\nAt Hesed Place\, we honor your pace and your story while offering practical tools for freedom\, growth\, and everyday stability.\n\n\n\nThe ENGAGE program is funded in part by a grant from the Craven County Community Foundation\, a fund administered by the North Carolina Community Foundation.
