DESCRIPTION:On Friday\, November 8\, 2024 from 9:00-1:00 at the National Guard Armory on 301 Glenburnie St. New Bern\, NC\, Veterans Employment Base Camp and Organic Garden will team up with Craven NC Works Employment office to host a veteran's outreach with a special event called a veteran's stand-down. This event will primarily benefit homeless veterans in Craven\, Pamlico\, Jones\, Beaufort and Carteret County but is open to veterans of all eras\, active-duty personnel\, family members and caregivers. \n\nThe standdown will fall in the middle of a week of events for veterans:\n\nNovember 7\, 2024 10:00-2:00: Veterans Job Fair National Guard Armory\n\nNovember 8\, 2024 09:00-1:00: Veterans Standdown National Guard Armory\n\nNovember 11\, 2024 11:00-1:00: Veterans Day Luncheon Temple Baptist Church\n\nNovember 11\, 2024 6:00-12:00\; March for the 22
